CHAP Group Update
During the COVID-19 pandemic, CHAP Group has been strictly adhering to Scottish Government advice regarding construction. The majority of our sites have been closed since the end of March, with the exception of some essential works at NHS . . .
Works are progressing at CHAP’s project at Hospitalfield Arts in Arbroath.
Pictured above is the existing wall behind which the new kitchenette and toilets will be formed. The wall has been propped and secured using CHAP Quarries own pre-cast concrete betonblocks.
The CHAP team have also started work stabilising the existing stonework in the fernery. After this is secure they will begin constructing a slender steel frame which will be fully glazed to form the roof and walls. This will then become the beautiful new cafe area which will look out onto the newly landscaped gardens of Hospitalfield House.
Hospitalfield Arts have contracted CHAP to carry out these extensive reconstruction, extension and refurbishments as part of their Future Plan to restore the historic Hospitalfield House and grounds.
Further information about Hospitalfield and their Future Plan can be found on their website.
