The Official Opening Ceremony of the Aberdeenshire Council housing development at Dales View Drive and Ruby Crescent in Peterhead was held on Friday 27th September 2019.
The ceremony was marked by the cutting of a ribbon by Housing Minister Kevin Stewart and Provost Bill Howatson at No 7 Ruby Crescent. This was followed by the presentation of flowers to Ms Sandra Paterson one of the new tenants at the development.
The ceremony was well attended by guests including Councillor Anne Stirling, Ron Liddell Construction Director at CHAP, members of Aberdeenshire Council and a number of pupils from Dales Park Primary School.
The schoolchildren were tasked with naming the new street which borders their Primary School. Winning idea, Ruby Crescent, was thought up by Annia to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Dales Park Primary School. Annia accepted a donation from CHAP Group on behalf of the school for her contribution to the project.
CHAP constructed the new energy-efficient housing project on behalf of Aberdeenshire Council as part of their Housing Investment Plan.
