The CREE Project on the Isle of Canna, which CHAP Group was involved in took home the Best Community Project Award at the awards ceremony last week.
Congratulations must also go to the whole team from the Beatrice Offshore Windfarm project who were given the Judges Award in recognition of their work and their 3 nominations at the awards.

Isle Of Canna
CHAP were contracted by SSE, who have been nominated for the Best Community Project Award, to carry out the civils aspects of their off-grid renewable energy scheme on the Isle of Canna in 2018. CHAP’s works included the excavation and formation of wind turbine and solar panel bases, laying 400m of cable to link the solar panels to the grid and involvement in the erection of the 6 wind turbines.
Beatrice Offshore Windfarm
Construction of both the main control building and principal SVC process building for Beatrice Offshore Windfarm was carried out by CHAP as subcontractor to RJ McLeod who have been nominated for the Best Engagement Award. This major project comprised the construction of 2 steel framed, metal clad, highly serviced buildings with deep raised flooring systems, electromagnetic shielding, enhanced fire protection and blast proof features. CHAP also carried out all excavations, earthworks, drainage and ducting.
