Works Progressing at Hospitalfield Arts in Arbroath
Works are progressing at CHAP’s project at Hospitalfield Arts in Arbroath.

This project was awarded to CHAP Group (Aberdeen) Ltd in October 2018. Works started on site in December 2018 and reached completion in December 2019 – some 3 months ahead of schedule.
The original Scalloway fish market, which was built in the 1970’s and refurbished and extended in the 1990s, was demolished and replaced with a state-of-the-art building.
A new facility was desperately needed as the amount of fish being landed rose by 600% between 2004 and 2015. Vessels were often turned away and were unable to land their catch due to lack of capacity.
