Major milestones achieved at Summerhill
Two major milestones have been reached at CHAP Group’s social housing project at Summerhill. The works to construct 369 flats on behalf of Aberdeen City Council have taken delivery of a large tower crane and the first timber kits in the past . . .
The works comprised the construction of a single storey timber framed extension comprising timber roof trusses with tiled finish on timber walls on conventional reinforced concrete strip footings together with alterations to the existing building and construction of additional car parking spaced.
The new extension provides:
Internal alteration works were carried out within two existing consulting rooms to create a community nurses room and treatment room.
Due to the remainder of the health centre remaining operational we worked closely with NHS Project Management on a daily basis to ensure all aspects of the work were carried out to the satisfaction of the client, this included weekly monitoring of health and safety on site, permit to work and site specific rules.
