Shetland Islands Council have taken possession of the new Scalloway Fish Market. Constructed by CHAP Group, the new facility was completed some 3 months ahead of schedule.

Design and Build of a four storey social housing development to provide 20 2-bed flats complete with associated parking, site works, external services and drainage.
The construction is block work foundations with concrete ground floors with block work external walls with a roughcast, granite and weatherboard timber finish, timber structural kit, the roof is constructed in kit timber trusses with a tile finish; full electrical system and gas fired heating and hot water system; site finishes include tarmac, paving blocks, soft and hard landscaping.
The project was registered with the Considerate Constructor Scheme (CCS) and was awarded a “Beyond Compliance” Certificate.
