Internal Refurbishment


Carronhill School provides education to children with additional support needs

The project works were conducted over two phases to take account of the school holiday periods. Works comprised the refurbishment of and alterations to spot areas and rooms within the building:

  • Toilet facilities and fittings upgrades
  • New partitions and glazed screens
  • New internal and external doors
  • Internal walls and partitions replacements
  • Kitchen units upgrades
  • Classroom sinks installation
  • New ceilings and repairs to existing
  • New external wall
  • Roof repairs
  • Construct new cloakroom
  • Heating, ventilation alterations
  • Lighting upgrades
  • Fire alarm upgrades
  • Flooring refurbishment and repairs
  • Furniture
  • Fitments and joinery
  • All associated works to existing services
  • Redecoration and repairs
  • Accessibility hoists, alarm systems

Carronhill School accommodates children with additional support needs and required many upgrades to the school and its facilities to provide a positive and secure environment for the children. The refurbishment included the upgrading and replacement of the following areas:

  • Bespoke shelving and storage unit to fit specialist equipment
  • Skylight improvements using sun tunnels for natural light
  • Improved accessibility through the installation of lifting hoists
  • Improved security through emergency call systems, lighting, alarms
  • Upgrades to multi-purpose sensory units
