Shetland Islands Council have taken possession of the new Scalloway Fish Market. Constructed by CHAP Group, the new facility was completed some 3 months ahead of schedule.
We are thrilled to have been able to hand this project over to . . .
To provide a larger and more effective restaurant facility for its staff, bg Group commissioned CHAP Construction to carry out a significant extension and upgrade to its existing canteen at 27 Albyn Place.
Whilst keeping the existing café in operation, a steel framed extension of around 50m2 was constructed. This was followed by a set shut down period in the second half of the programme where the extension was connected to the existing kitchen and canteen. This phase involved a full strip out and reconstruction of the existing kitchen to double it’s size and capacity with a complete new range of catering grade equipment being installed.
Detailed finishes, decorative art work and a feature fish tank completed the internal appearance and externally paving paths and wrought ironwork added to the overall ambience.
